Voting Absentee After a Permanent

Change of Station (PCS)

PCS season

PCS season is approaching. Here's everything you need to know about voting absentee after a change of station:

1. Your Installation Voter Assistance (IVA) Office is available to support you with any absentee voting questions, in addition to general questions you may have during this transition period. Find your IVA through our directory.

2. Fill out a new Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) at FVAP.gov to let your state's election office know your address after every move and every year. The information you provide is the only way to contact you.

3. Check your state's voting deadlines and plan ahead. Moving further away from your voting state may affect mailing times, so you'll want to send voting materials sooner, rather than later.

4. See your state's voting guidelines to check if you have the option to submit voting materials by mail, fax, or email.
