May 31, 2022 BREAKING: Former Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann acquitted of lying to FBI in early days of Trump-Russia investigation Michael Sussmann, a former Hillary Clinton campaign lawyer, was acquitted Tuesday of lying to the FBI when he provided information alleging possible ties between the Trump Organization and a Russian bank in 2016, but did not disclose that he worked for the campaign. The verdict in the case, the first brought by special counsel John Durham to go trial, is a blow to Durham's probe into the origins of the Trump-Russia investigation.
