'Same old litany of inequity': Access to antiviral drugs becomes another hurdle for low-income, uninsured people in Covid response
Covid antiviral pills were made free by the federal government, but they require a doctor's prescription and treatment has to start within days of a positive test result and the appearance of symptoms. Low-income and uninsured Americans face hurdles to obtain them, and medical experts say this is just the latest example of inequities plaguing the United States' Covid response.
