Hiring Documents and Applications Accessibility Training

Office of Disability Employment Policy's Policy Advisor Jonathan Katz will provide a virtual training on "Accessibility for Online Hiring Documents and Applications" on January 25 at 8:30 a.m. CT. The webinar will be hosted by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Chicago District and the Fox Valley, WI, Industry Liaison Group. This training will cover creating hiring forms, documents and outreach that are usable and accessible by people with disabilities.

Accommodation Requests During the Pandemic

The Job Accommodation Network updated its publication "Recognizing an ADA Accommodation Request During the Pandemic" to reflect evolving issues and federal guidance. This resource provides employers information on processing COVID-19-related workplace accommodation requests.

Inclusive Apprenticeships in the Solar Industry

The Partnership on Inclusive Apprenticeship posted the "Clean Energy Spotlight" to inform solar industry employers about the benefits of apprenticeships that are inclusive of people with disabilities and other underrepresented groups. It provides guidance and resources to help employers in the clean energy and solar sectors meet their talent needs, train their future workforce, and build a diverse and inclusive workforce through inclusive apprenticeships.
