UPDATED: USDA to Host Webinar on Local Food Purchase Assistance Cooperative Agreement Program Thursday, Dec. 16, 2 p.m. ET New Registration Required The U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) will hold an informational webinar for organizations interested in learning more about the Local Food Purchase Assistance Cooperative Agreement Program (LFPA) on Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021, beginning at 2 p.m. ET. The webinar will provide an overview of the cooperative agreements and application requirements and give information on how to obtain support during the application process. On Dec. 6, 2021, USDA announced that eligible state and tribal governments have until April 5, 2022, to apply for the program that will award up to $400 million for emergency food assistance purchases of domestic local foods. The webinar will be held via ZOOM. Registration is required. You will receive an email confirmation after registering. Due to the enthusiastic response for this information, we are expanding access to the webinar and moving it into a new Zoom room.
