The House voted 228-206 to pass the $555 billion infrastructure bill, sending the legislation to President Joe Biden who is expected to quickly sign the measure. The bill will provide spending for a myriad of the nation's surface transportation projects, including roads, bridges and airports. The Senate approved the bill in August, but it stalled for months in the House after progressives clashed with Democratic centrists on Biden's safety-net package. The dispute appeared to be settled on Friday.
