The latest State Employment and Unemployment (Monthly) news release has been posted on the BLS website at https://www.bls.gov/news.release/pdf/laus.pdf and also archived at https://www.bls.gov/news.release/archives/laus_10222021.pdf. Highlights are below. Sept. jobless rates down in 27 states, up in 1; payroll jobs up in 11 states, down in 3 10/22/2021 In September, unemployment rates were lower in 27 states and the District of Columbia, higher in 1 state, and stable in 22 states.
