Police took $100K at a traffic stop. There was no crime - but the money hasn't been returned.
Two men were on their way to a hotel in Oklahoma City with $100,000 in their car when police pulled them over. The deputy said he suspected they were involved in "illegal activity" and took the money, which hasn't been returned despite their innocence. That seizure illustrates the larger issue of law enforcement's broad authority to take property if it is suspected to be linked to criminal activity.
