Join the U.S. Department of Energy Bioenergy Technologies Office on September 16, 2021, at 3 p.m. ET, for a webinar on how Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) is partnering with the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley) to train the next generation of bioprocessing engineers to enable the U.S. bioeconomy.

Biotech and bioprocessing play a key role in mitigating climate change, but these industries face a pressing need for experienced people who can bring bio-based, sustainable products to market.

A new college course taking place at LBNL's Advanced Biofuels and Bioproducts Process Development Unit (ABPDU) aims to meet this need by providing students with hands-on experience with industry-relevant bioprocessing equipment. Part of UC Berkeley's Master of Bioprocess Engineering program, the course prepares students for careers in the biopharmaceutical, industrial biotech, or food tech industries.

Register for this webinar to learn more about how this course is helping to build the bioeconomy workforce.
