Health care benefits take-up rate was 77 percent for private industry workers in March 2021 09/30/2021 Health care benefits were available to 71 percent of private industry workers in March 2021, and 54 percent of workers participated in the benefit, resulting in a 77-percent take-up rate. The take-up rate is the percentage of workers with access to an employer-sponsored benefit who choose to participate in the benefit. Take-up rates varied among different industries. For example, the take-up rate in utilities was 90 percent, while leisure and hospitality was 45 percent in March 2021. HTML
