Vigil planned for missing Montana woman two months after she disappeared
Rebekah Barsotti, 33, and her dog, Cerberus, were last seen on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at the Town Pump station in Superior, Montana. The same day, her vehicle and several personal belongings were all found at mile marker 71 on Interstate 90 by the Clark Fork River. On July 26, Rebekah's dog was found dead in the river by the Mineral County Search and Rescue team, about 10 miles downriver. A candlelight vigil is planned for September 20, at McCormack Park in Missoula. The Missoula County Sheriff's Office is investigating.

Aunt of slain Crow woman calls for further investigation into her 2019 death
Kaysera Stops Pretty Places, 18, went missing on August 24, 2019, in Hardin, Montana, which is adjacent to the Crow Reservation boundary. On August 29, her body was found by a jogger at the edge of a backyard in the neighborhood, but her family says they were not alerted until September 11, 2019.  In August 2021, Big Horn County officials released a new report detailing the investigation into her death.

Arrest made in 2012 murder of UNC student Faith Hedgepeth
An arrest has been made in the 2012 homicide of University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill student Faith Hedgepeth, who was beaten to death in the early morning hours of September 7, 2012, at her off-campus apartment in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Miguel Enrique Olivares was arrested on Thursday, September 16, 2021, and is charged with first-degree murder in the case. He is being held at Durham County Detention Facility under no bond.
