Birds are acting blind when approached and dying by the hundreds. Scientists don't know why.
Wildlife officials in at least six states have reported birds displaying crusty or puffy eyes, neurological signs of seizures and an inability to stay balanced. Hundreds have turned up dead. An avian biologist in Kentucky said the cause is still unknown.
