Puerto Rico is in a femicide crisis. Its women fear becoming statistics.

Puerto Rico Gov. Pedro Pierluisi signed an executive order in January declaring a state of emergency due to an increase in cases of femicide. But the recent brutal murders of seven women in one month set a record on the island, and outraged Puerto Ricans are urging officials to reform a system that has done the bare minimum to address gender violence.
