Important FY 2021 CTAS Solicitation’s deadline is approaching! Only 6 days left to apply!!!

Dear CTAS Applicant:

The application period for the U.S. Department of Justice's FY 2021 Coordinated Tribal Assistance Solicitation (CTAS), which is administered by the Department's Office of Justice Programs and Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS Office), is fast approaching with only 7 days left!

The application deadline is April 20th 9PM Eastern Time.

Please work on your application now and please do not wait until the last day.

Required Application Documents:

As a reminder, the CTAS application must contain:

  1. Tribal Community and Justice Profile (can be attached in the "Additional Application Components" or "Other" sections in JustGrants)
  2. Purpose Area Narrative for each purpose area for which the applicant is applying
  3. Budget Detail Worksheet and Narrative
  4. Timeline

(In JustGrants where it is asking you to complete the goals, objectives, deliverables section, please indicate "see attached" and reference the Timeline attachment you are uploading that contains the goals and goal statement or you can cut and paste your goals).

Attachment Tips:

Please ensure the required documents are attached in the appropriate areas of JustGrants.

DOJ recommends that uploaded files be clearly named to indicate the applicant tribe name and the file contents to ensure that reviewers can easily locate application documents. For example, a file may be saved as "[Tribe]. Purpose Area1 Narrative.doc".

A reminder that the Community Tribal Community and Justice Profile can be attached in the "Additional Application Components" or "Other" sections in JustGrants.

If you are applying under Purpose Area 1, (Community Oriented Policing Services), as part of your Purpose Area 1 application submission, please ensure you complete the demographic questions. These questions are designed to capture the unique characteristics of each tribe in order to paint a more detailed picture of each tribe's strengths and challenges. Please see the 'Data Requested with the Application' section and answer the demographic questions survey in Just Grants.  The system will require you to complete the survey before submitting the application.
