17.9 percent of people with a disability employed in 2020

The employment–population ratio—that is, the percentage of the population that is employed—for people with a disability was 17.9 percent in 2020, a decrease from 19.3 percent in 2019. The ratio for people without a disability was 61.8 percent in 2020, down from 66.3 percent in the prior year. Data on both groups for 2020 reflect the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and efforts to contain it.
