SPECIAL REPORT: These veterans spent years battling PTSD. Covid thrust them back into their darkest days.

Covid-19 has put unprecedented strain on everyone's mental health, but the crisis has been particularly agonizing for some military veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. 

The massive loss of life and fear of an unseen threat have been triggers for vets grappling with combat-related trauma. And while isolation is a natural tendency for many with PTSD, experts say it can be harmful in the long term.
