Feb 25, 2021 Pfizer begins trials of a third dose of the Covid vaccine Pfizer announced on Thursday that it has begun trials to study the effectiveness of a third dose of its Covid-19 vaccine. In an interview with NBC News' Lester Holt, Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla said the hope is that a third dose will boost the immune response even higher, offering better protection against variants.
