Four key Capitol security figures will face tough questions from senators on Tuesday about how the highly secure facility was breached during the Jan. 6 riot.

Three of the officials testifying resigned over their role in the response: Steven Sund, who was the chief of the Capitol Police; Michael Stenger, who was the Senate sergeant-at-arms, and Paul Irving, who was the House sergeant-at-arms. Robert Contee, the acting chief of the Washington, D.C., police, is also testifying. The hearing is expected to focus on why officials weren't better prepared for the attack and why it took so long to quell the mob.
