The Covid-19 pandemic has pushed jails and prisons to make big changes, including moving classes online and allowing prisoners to attend funerals on Zoom.

These innovations have been a lifeline for incarcerated people, but their families fear corrections officials will use the recently adopted technology to replace in-person interactions even after the pandemic ends.
