Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich, COVID Briefing January 27, 2021

Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich, County Health Officer Dr. Travis Gayles, and the County's Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security Director Dr. Earl Stoddard held their weekly virtual media briefing on Wednesday, January 27 at noon. County Executive Elrich highlighted the County's COVID-19 case numbers and vaccination plans. He also mentioned that many people still have questions about the availability of COVID-19 vaccines and provided details on how to preregister for the vaccine.

Dr. Travis Gayles discussed monitoring the COVID-19 restrictions and the new COVID-19 variants, which are now found in Maryland. Dr. Earl Stoddard also talked about the state's appointments and advised against individuals sharing appointment links.

County Executive Marc Elrich's January 28 video message to the community on the current vaccination situation is well worth watching (approximately 9 minutes).
