Statement from Commission for Women

On January 20, 2021, the world watched as the first female Vice President Kamala Devi Harris, was inaugurated into office. The Montgomery County Commission for Women celebrates with women and girls everywhere as we witnessed this historic moment together.  Vice President Harris is the first African-American and South-East Asian woman to assume this office and took her oath of office from Sonia Sotomayor, the nation's first Latina Supreme Court Justice.  We applaud this incredible victory for women and girls by putting yet another crack in the glass ceiling.

Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich, County Health Officer Dr. Travis Gayles, and the County's Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security Director Dr. Earl Stoddard held their weekly virtual media briefing on Thursday, January 21 at noon. County Executive Elrich highlighted the County's COVID-19 case-numbers, vaccination plans, allocations, and distribution information. Dr. Travis Gayles and Dr. Earl Stoddard also spoke about the COVID-19 numbers, hospital capacity, and the vaccination procedures.

Montgomery County Vaccine Information

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan has announced that the State has moved into Phase 1B of distributing COVID-19 vaccines. Phase 1B includes people age 75 and older. However, the County has not yet received enough vaccines from the Maryland Department of Health to meet the demand of those in Priority Group 1A who are seeking the vaccine. The County is prepared to distribute more vaccines—it just cannot control how many doses it receives each week. The County will begin vaccinating those in Priority Group 1B as soon as it can, while continuing to vaccinate those in Priority Group 1A.  For more information, please visit COVID-19 Vaccine - Montgomery County, MD.

Vaccination Info English

The County would like community feedback in order to continue to provide community members with the most useful information and resources during the COVID-19 pandemic and develop a plan for vaccine outreach and distribution.

This survey is completely anonymous and will close on February 4.

The survey takes approximately 5 minutes to complete. Thank you for filing out the survey!
