Meet the Vermont teacher behind the viral Bernie Sanders mittens

Since Inauguration Day, Jen Ellis, a Vermont teacher and the woman who knit Sen. Bernie Sanders' now-viral mittens, has received thousands of requests from people looking to make a purchase.

Ellis, who knit the senator's mittens in 2016 and no longer sells them, was inspired by the outreach and decided to knit a few more pairs to donate and raise money for LGBTQ youth and other charities.
