Romney says Trump has 'blind spot' on Russia after president casts doubt on cyberattack

Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, on Sunday said that President Donald Trump's unwillingness to blame Russia for a recent cyberattack shows the president has a "blind spot" when it comes to the country.

Top U.S. officials, including Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, have publicly said it appears that Russia was behind a suspected hacking campaign that infiltrated more than 40 organizations. Trump cast doubt on that assessment on Saturday.

"I was disappointed with the president's comment," Romney said during an interview on NBC News' "Meet the Press."
