Netflix's 'The Crown' may be fiction, but it has real-life consequences for the royals

The fourth season of "The Crown," released last month, has caused uproar among a growing list of historians and politicians — including Britain's culture secretary, Oliver Dowden — who are urging Netflix to make clear that the show is fictional. Their concern is with the depiction of heir-to-the-throne Prince Charles' doomed relationship with Diana, which highlights royal dysfunction rather than triumph and is seen as possibly damaging to the real-life Windsors.
