Vanderbilt's Sarah Fuller becomes the first woman to play in a Power 5 college football game

Vanderbilt University senior Sarah Fuller made history as the first woman to play at a Power Five school football game when the Commodores faced off against the University of Missouri Tigers on Saturday. Women have taken the field for college football teams in the past, but never for such a high-profile team in a top conference.

Fuller, the starting goalkeeper for the women's soccer team, joined the game after halftime as Vanderbilt's placekicker following absences from players who were exposed to Covid-19.
