Reminder: National Apprenticeship Week 2020 Webinar on Increasing Opportunities for Women in Apprenticeship and Nontraditional Occupations

The Women's Bureau will be celebrating National Apprenticeship Week 2020 with a virtual event today, November 9, 2020, from its national headquarters in Washington, D.C.

Moderated by Director Laurie Todd-Smith, Ph.D., this live webinar will feature current and former Women in Apprenticeship and Nontraditional Occupations (WANTO) Grant Program recipients to discuss how the WANTO program helps to expand pathways for women to enter and lead in all industries. Panelists will discuss the experience of women in pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship programs, as well as best practices for recruiting, mentoring, training, and retaining more women in apprenticeships and nontraditional occupations.
