Ten Individuals Charged in $50 Million Russian Smuggling Scheme 10/19/2020 12:00 AM EDT An indictment and a complaint were unsealed today in federal court in Brooklyn variously charging 10 defendants with transportation of stolen property, failure to file export information, illegal exportation of electronic devices and conspiracy to commit these offenses. The defendants allegedly participated in the illegal smuggling of electronic devices, particularly Apple products, from the United States to Russia using couriers, many of whom were current and former employees of Aeroflot Airlines. Man Sentenced to 151 Months for Child Pornography Offense 10/19/2020 12:00 AM EDT United States Attorney Richard W. Moore of the Southern District of Alabama announced that Ryan Milholland, 50, formerly of Daphne, Alabama, was sentenced today in federal court on a charge of distribution of child pornography. Miholland pled guilty to the charge in June of 2020. U.S. Attorney Robert M. Hur today announced awards of $2,905,629 in Department of Justice grants to fight drug abuse and addiction in the District of Maryland. The grants were awarded by the Department's Office of Justice Programs (OJP) and are part of more than $341 million going to communities nationwide.
