  The U.S. Department of State is currently accepting applications for a Maritime Law Enforcement Advisor, located in Hanoi, Vietnam.

The Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) is under the Under Secretary for Democracy and Human Rights and works to keep Americans safe at home by countering international crime, illegal drugs, and instability abroad. INL helps countries deliver justice and fairness by strengthening their police, courts, and corrections systems.

The purpose of this personal services contract is to fill the existing Maritime Law Enforcement Advisor Personal Services Contract (PSC) in the INL office at the U.S. Embassy, Hanoi, Vietnam. The Advisor serves as the maritime law enforcement advisor and point of contact for the INL maritime law enforcement projects in Vietnam. He/she identifies opportunities to promote effective maritime law enforcement projects in Vietnam, including support to Vietnam Coast Guard, Fisheries Resource Surveillance Force, and other maritime agencies on maritime law enforcement coordination and interoperability, countering malign influence, transnational organized crime, maritime resources protection, and port and border security. The incumbent will also be responsible for designing and managing these projects under the guidance of the INL Director and INL/EA program officer.

This is a non-status, non-permanent Personal Service Contract position. You do not acquire a competitive or excepted service status from this position.
