Spotlight on Commerce: Connie Africano Remoroza Born and raised in the Philippines, National Institute of Standards and Technology Research Chemist values being Pacific Islander, "Being a Pacific Islander, it has been thrilling to help form partnerships and collaborations between my connections in the U.S." Spotlight on Commerce: Jolene Lau Born and raised in Hawaii, Jolene Lau, Communications Specialist at NOAA Fisheries, is proud of her Chinese heritage and faith. She helps guide the careers of others encouraging them to "keep studying hard & have a stellar work ethic." Spotlight on Commerce: Thomas Hong "This Asian Pacific American Heritage Month is a time for celebration and a time to recognize contributions by the AAPI community in this country. I am proud and honored to be at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office working with so many dedicated, hardworking individuals," says Thomas Hong.
