Armored Vehicle (AV) Quality Assurance Specialist Now Accepting Applications     The U.S. Department of State is currently accepting applications for an Armored Vehicle Quality Assurance Specialist, located in Springfield, VA. This position is assigned to the Bureau of Diplomatic Security's Defensive Equipment and Armored Vehicle Division's armored vehicle program (DS/PSP/DEAV). The incumbent provides oversight and quality assurance / quality control on behalf of the government for the armored vehicle's overseas maintenance and repair program, as well as the post inspection program. The incumbent will work closely with the program office and security officers at diplomatic posts worldwide in order to ensure the highest quality performance and customer service of the program's third-party contract maintenance and repair teams. These teams travel around the globe to maintain and repair Department of State and interagency partners' armored vehicles in compliance with Department and Overseas Security Policy Board standards. The incumbent will also support the contracting officer's representative by auditing quality assurance / quality control programs at armored vehicle vendor locations domestically. This is a non-status, non-permanent Personal Service Contract position. You do not acquire a competitive or excepted service status from this position.
