The SAUSA will be responsible for prosecuting offenders for alleged violations of various federal criminal laws, including violations of firearms, narcotics, and immigration statutes. Duties will include handling cases from the initiation of the federal prosecution through trial or guilty plea, as well as supervised release violations and other proceedings associated with the prosecution of federal criminal cases. The SAUSA will also assist with the prosecution of misdemeanor cases arising out of the federal enclaves located in Santa Clara and Monterey Counties.

Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
