Over 80 million Americans now under virtual lockdown while Italy's death toll continues to soar

New Jersey joined the growing list of states issuing a stay-at-home order on Saturday, putting over 80 million Americans under virtual lockdowns to fight the spread of the new coronavirus. "We must flatten the curve and ensure residents are practicing social distancing," New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy said.

In Italy, the hardest-hit country in Europe, the death toll continues to soar, with 793 new reported fatalities today, bringing the total to 4,825.
