Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross in Pakistan

On February 25, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross met with Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan to discuss expanding the bilateral trade and investment relationship, particularly in the energy and digital sectors. It was an honor to meet with U.S. companies based in Pakistan and discuss ways the U.S. government can support improving prospects for their success.

On February 25, U.S. Census Bureau Director Dr. Steven Dillingham announced that the 2020 Census Community Partnership and Engagement Program (CPEP) has reached its goal of 300,000 partnering organizations nationwide.

On February 27, Secretary Ross announced the allocation of $65 million to communities in Alaska, California, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida and the Yurok Tribe (California) that suffered fishery disasters between 2017 and 2019.

On February 27, the United States Patent and Trademark Office invited students, inventors, entrepreneurs, innovators, public institutions, tech firms, and small businesses to attend a Black History Month celebration at Alabama A&M themed "Building a legacy of impact through invention."

Jim West and Victor Lawrence shared their inventive journeys and how they've made an impact through #invention.

On February 28, the Bureau of Economic Analysis released Personal Income and Outlays for January 2020. Learn more about January's increases in personal income and consumer spending at https://go.usa.gov/xddYq

People's incomes rose 0.6% in January; spending grew 0.2%.
