Project Update: Provider Management and Enrollment System (PMES) Following a suspension period placed on the project by HHSC in July 2019, HHSC has terminated its contract with CNSI for cause, ending the vendor's involvement in PMES modernization project. Next Steps HHSC remains committed to PMES goals. While today's system is already modernized technologically, HHSC will continue to streamline and simplify the Texas Medicaid provider application. The agency will take a phased approach to implement enhancements to the provider enrollment and screening processes. Enhancements will include: Adding pharmacy, long-term care, and long-term services and supports provider types Improving enrollment processing error rates and processing times Reducing dependency on the Texas Provider Identification (TPI) number Stakeholders can expect more updates as the project progresses.
