Nov 30, 2020 Artist or aliens?: Utah's mysterious monolith sends the world's imagination into overdrive A tall, metallic reflective structure discovered in a canyon in Utah's Red Rock country vanished over the weekend, igniting social media with theories and jokes about the monolith's appearance and subsequent disappearance. The state's Public Safety Department, whose members discovered the structure during a routine count of bighorn sheep, admitted that it didn't know who — or what — installed the monolith.
