| The following GAIN reports were released on June 17, 2025. _______ This report provides guidance on how U.S. exporters can send sample products for display at trade shows in China. Most products are eligible for duty free entry and simplified regulatory requirements. However, some U.S. exporters have recently reported that requests for duty free have been rejected by Chinese customs officials. U.S. exporters are advised to coordinate closely with their freight forwarders in advance to minimize potential disruptions. The content of this report is based on Post's understanding of the current situation and is subject to change without notice. The Danish food retail landscape is dominated by brick-and-mortar supermarkets, often located within walking distance and operating with generous hours, limiting the need for e-commerce. Most stores range between 500–1,500 m², and the country has the highest number of supermarkets per capita in the EU. Danes shop frequently—around three times a week—and spend about 10 percent of their disposable income on food and beverages, but the market remains conservative with little innovation. The abundance of stores relative to the small population may hinder individual store performance and discourage investment in modern retail concepts. Additionally, a strong foodservice sector offering affordable, ready-to-eat meals has limited the growth of convenience product offerings in supermarkets. On May 27, 2025, the Indian Metrological Department forecast an above-normal precipitation in the upcoming 2025 monsoon in most parts of the country. On May 28, 2025, the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare released the production estimates for Indian crop year 2024/2025, wherein grain production has been raised to a record 353.96 million metric tons (MMT), nearly 21.7 MMT higher than last year. The increase is due to record harvest of rice, wheat and corn due to favorable 2024 monsoon and weather conditions during the crop season. Post has incorporated the revised official production estimates for MY 2024/2025, raised MY 2025/2026 forecast production on expected above-normal 2025 monsoon; and raised consumption, trade and/or stock in the PSDs for rice, wheat and corn. For year 2025, FAS Warsaw forecasts Poland's total cherry production at 115,000 metric tons (MT), consisting of 80,000 sour cherries and 35,000 of sweet cherries. If realized, this would be thirty percent lower production than the previous year and over a fifty percent decrease from the six-year average. Frosts in April and May damaged cherry orchards, especially impacting early-fruiting varieties. Abundant precipitation and mild temperatures prevailing since the beginning of March have favored winter grain crop development and increased yield expectations. Similarly, ample water supplies have allowed a recovery in corn area. However, high temperatures in the second half of May reduced yield expectations in some regions. Spain's total grain production is expected to exceed 24.1 million MT in MY 2025/26. Grain import demand is projected at 14 million MT- down from the over 16 million MT estimated for MY 2024/25. Uzbekistan is one of Central Asia's fastest-growing consumer markets, powered by strong GDP growth (6.5 percent in 2024; 5.9 percent forecast in 2025) and a population rising by 1 million annually. Urbanization, a young middle class, and shifting consumer habits are driving rapid demand for modern retail, packaged foods, and convenience formats. The government's 7.4 million metric ton food production target by 2026 unlocks major opportunities for processing, packaging, and cold-chain suppliers. E-commerce and digital payments are reshaping access, especially in cities like Tashkent. Despite infrastructure gaps, Uzbekistan offers a dynamic, high-growth environment for global food and retail investors.
