NOW OPEN: OVW FY 2025 Grants to Reduce Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault, and Stalking on Campus Program Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO)

OVW's Campus Program is now accepting applications. 

The Campus Program provides funding for institutions of higher education to develop and strengthen effective security and investigation strategies to combat domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking on campus; develop and strengthen victim services in cases involving such crimes on campus; and develop and strengthen prevention education and awareness programs.

Entities that are eligible to apply are: Institutions of higher education in the United States and U.S. territories.

Expected Award Period: 36 months

Expected Award Amount: Up to $400,000

IImportant Dates and Information 

  • Pre-recorded pre-application information session is expected to be available on the OVW website on June 3, 2024
  • Application deadline for Grants.gov: July 8, 2025 – 11:59 p.m. ET
  • Application deadline for JustGrants: July 10, 2025 – 8:59 p.m. ET
  • Letter of Intent: June 24, 2025 

To submit an application, all applicants must register online with the System for Award Management (SAM) and with Grants.gov. To ensure sufficient time to complete the registration process, applicants should register online with SAM and with Grants.gov immediately, but no later than June 24, 2025.

NOW OPEN: FY 2025 Grants to Indian Tribal Governments Program Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO)

OVW's Grants to Indian Tribal Governments Program (Tribal Governments Program) is now accepting applications.

The Tribal Governments Program assists Tribal governments (or their authorized designees) or Tribal consortia to respond to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, sex trafficking, and stalking in Tribal communities. There are two application options for applicants to choose from in responding to this NOFO. Applicants must choose only one application option.

Who Can Apply? 

Eligible applicants include Indian Tribal governments, Tribal designees, and Tribal consortia. Additional eligibility criteria may apply based on the application type chosen. Information about application types is provided below. 

Non-competitive Continuation: All current Tribal Governments Program grantees with an open award as of June 26, 2025, except for those that received an FY 2024 award or a 36-month award in FY 2023, are eligible to apply for a 36-month non-competitive continuation award. These awards range between $400,000 to $1 million and are for 36 months. 

Strengthening Tribal Advocacy Responses Track (START): START is a special process to apply for funding that is focused on Tribal governments (or their designees) that have never, or not recently, received funding through the Tribal Governments Program. Tribal Governments START grantees will focus on capacity building early in the project and will receive additional training, technical assistance, and support. These awards range between $400,000 to $1 million.

  • Application deadline for JustGrants: June 26, 2025 – 8:59 p.m. ET

DOD Announces Winners of the 2025 Commander in Chief's Annual Award for Installation Excellence

Secretary of Defense Peter B. Hegseth announced the 2025 recipients of the Commander in Chief's Annual Award for Installation Excellence.

The Commander in Chief's Annual Award for Installation Excellence recognizes the outstanding and innovative efforts of the people who operate and maintain U.S. military installations. The six recipients of this highly competitive presidential award were selected for their exemplary support of Department of Defense missions.

Recipients of the 2025 Commander in Chief's Annual Award for Installation Excellence are:

U.S. Army Garrison Fort Knox, Kentucky
Senior Commander: Major General Johnny K. Davis, U.S. Army
Garrison Commander: Colonel Christopher J. Ricci, U.S. Army

Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia
Commanding Officer: CAPT Matthew T. Schlarmann, U.S. Navy

Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California
Commanding General: Brigadier General Nick I. Brown, U.S. Marine Corps

Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia
Commanding Officer: Colonel Matthew R. Altman, U.S. Air Force

Vandenberg Space Force Base, California
Commanding Officer: Colonel Mark A. Shoemaker, U.S. Space Force

Installations compete on how well they achieve the Department's objectives in several areas of installation management, including mission support, quality of life and unit morale, real property management, safety, health and security, communications, and public relations.

Excellent installations enable better mission performance and enhance the working and living conditions for military men and women, DoD civilians, and their families. Each of the winning installations succeeded at being the best in performing installation management within their military service and the Defense Logistics Agency. Each winning installation will receive a commemorative trophy, flag, and a congratulatory letter from the President.
