OPINION: The aftermath of Ahmaud Arbery's murder highlights dark side of prosecutorial power, write former federal prosecutors Bruce A. Green and Dennis Aftergut
The successful prosecution of Ahmaud Arbery's murderers this month almost didn't happen. And that leaves us focused on something unusual in the world of legal accountability, write former federal prosecutors Bruce A. Green and Dennis Aftergut. The indictment this fall of the first Georgia prosecutor presented with the crimes committed by Travis McMichael, Greg McMichael and William "Roddie" Bryan raises challenging questions about how we hold prosecutors accountable for professional misconduct, argue Green and Aftergut.

Department of State United States of America
