OFFICE OF JUVENILE JUSTICE AND DELINQUENCY PREVENTION TO HOLD A WEBINAR IN RECOGNITION OF  YOUTH JUSTICE ACTION MONTH

          WASHINGTON — In recognition of October's Youth Justice Action Month (YJAM), the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP), a division of the Department of Justice's Office of Justice Programs, along with the Coalition for Juvenile Justice (CJJ) and the National Juvenile Justice Network (NJJN), will host a webinar to raise awareness about the observance of YJAM and to educate the public on the needs of youth impacted by the justice system.

A Subsecretária de Estado para os Assuntos Políticos, Victoria Nuland, e o Director Geral do Departamento de Relações Internacionais e Cooperação Sul-Africano, Zane Dangor, convocaram a 27 de Setembro o Grupo de Trabalho EUA-África do Sul sobre Questões Africanas e Globais (em inglês WGAGI) no Departamento de Estado dos Estados Unidos em Washington. O WGAGI, que reúne-se anualmente, é uma oportunidade para rever questões prementes e de destaque que são de interesse mútuo para os Governos dos EUA e da África do Sul. A Subsecretária Nuland e o Director-Geral Dangor discutiram sobre a invasão russa na Ucrânia e sobre a segurança alimentar global, para além de outros assuntos. Para as questões regionais, a Subsecretária Nuland contou com o Principal Vice-Secretário Adjunto para os Assuntos Africanos Ervin Massinga e com o Enviado Especial para o Corno de África Mike Hammer, que discutiram com o Director-Geral Dangor as situações na Etiópia, Moçambique e Zimbabwe, entre outros tópicos.
