Copyright Office Expands Recordation System Access to the Public NewsNet 975 August 1, 2022 In 2020, the U.S. Copyright Office introduced a limited pilot program for an online recordation system that will eventually replace the current paper-based process. Today, the Copyright Office expands access to the general public for the electronic processing of documents relating to copyright that fall under section 205 of Title 17. Any member of the public may now electronically submit certain types of documents for recordation to the Office through this system by creating an Enterprise Copyright System (ECS) account through Login.gov, which serves as the user login and authentication method. Use of the Recordation System is optional and governed by 37 CFR § 201.4(h) and the Special Pilot Program Rules. While the public may continue to submit documents for recordation in paper form, the Office strongly encourages participation in the electronic system. The Recordation System offers a number of features and benefits: self-service account and organization management online submission for transfers and other documents pertaining to copyright under 17 USC § 205 online payment via Pay.gov digital certificate and numbered document available online online status tracking centralized messaging center for correspondence notifications and alerts for key events easy search of submissions faster processing time than paper submission bulk upload of works indexing information For more information, please visit the Recordation System page.

Tony Evers and the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) announce that more than 10 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the state of Wisconsin, including over 2.5 million additional and booster doses. More than 60% of all Wisconsinites have completed their COVID-19 vaccine series and 35% have received an additional or booster dose.  "Wisconsin's vaccine providers have worked tirelessly these past few years, and we've been proud over the course of this pandemic to be a national leader in getting available shots in arms," said Gov. To arrange water delivery to homebound or residents without transportation in the City of Benton Harbor, contact 211, which is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Phones that cannot contact 211 should contact 844-875-9211. A recent U.S. Environmental Protection Agency study confirms that certified filters, properly installed and maintained, are effective in reducing lead in Benton Harbor drinking water. The Berrien County Health Department has filters available free of charge. The ongoing response in Benton Harbor includes the city, Berrien County Health Department, local community organizations, MDHHS and the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy. Gov. Gretchen Whitmer called for the replacement of lead service lines in Benton Harbor in 18 months and the Whitmer-Gilchrist Administration the administration has secured the funding to replace 100 percent of the lines in the city. There is no cost to City of Benton Harbor residents for lead service line replacement. To assist with assuring the work can be completed as soon as possible, residents are encouraged to complete the Water Service Line Replacement Agreement available online.
