Millions left freezing without power in Texas as possible tornado kills three in North Carolina

A deadly winter storm pummeling the country's South and mid-section left millions waking up without power in Texas early Tuesday and spawned a possible tornado that killed three and left 10 people injured in North Carolina.

The storm that dropped snow, ice and record-low temperatures across the country was expected to move into the Northeast Tuesday, the National Weather Service said.
