Raimondo The Department of Commerce has one overarching goal: To improve America's economic competitiveness so that our workers and our companies succeed in the global economy. And Black History Month is a great time to showcase the achievements of the Black scientists, educators, creators, activists, and others who have contributed to that goal and continue to propel this nation forward every day. In honor of Black History Month, the Commerce Department's many diverse bureaus worked together to recognize and celebrate these accomplishments by highlighting Black leaders who have made a lasting impact in the field of data collection and use, entrepreneurship, invention, and STEM-related fields.
