| The following GAIN reports were released on September 16, 2025. _______ Argentina is set to remain a powerhouse in global beef trade, with 2026 exports forecast at 830,000 tons carcass weight equivalent (CWE), the second highest on record. Robust international prices and a more competitive peso are breathing new life into packer margins. China will continue to dominate as the leading market, while shipments to the United States and European Union strengthen. Despite booming exports, beef production is expected to remain stagnant for a fifth straight year. USDA-endorsed SIAL China is the largest consumer food and beverage show in China. This year, USA Pavilion exhibitors at the show recorded on-site sales of $2 million and projected 12-month sales of $31.5 million. The pavilion hosted 46 exhibitors, including eight USDA Cooperators: American Pistachio Growers, Food Export-Midwest, Southern United States Trade Association, USA Dry Pea and Lentil Council, U.S. Dry Bean Council, U.S. Meat Export Federation, USA Poultry and Egg Export Council, and Western United States Agricultural Trade Association. In 2024, Honduras imported $3.4 billion in agricultural and related products. The United States supplied $1.3 billion of that total, giving it a 40 percent market share and ranking Honduras as the 23rd-largest market for U.S. agricultural exports worldwide. Consumer-oriented food imports reached $2.0 billion, or 3.7 million tons, showing nearly 10 percent growth in both value and volume. U.S. exports in this category totaled more than $612 million in 2024, an 11 percent increase compared to the previous year. FAS Manila forecasts 2026 chicken meat production at 1.81 million metric tons (MMT) ready-to-cook, a 7 percent increase from the estimated production in 2025. This growth is expected to be driven by the commercial rollout of a vaccine against Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI), enhanced biosecurity measures adopted by poultry farms, the ongoing impact of African Swine Fever (ASF) on pork supply, and strong performance in the food service sector. Chicken meat imports in 2026 are forecast to reach 560 thousand MT (TMT), supported by the lifting of temporary import bans related to HPAI, sustained consumer demand, and robust economic growth.
