Rhode Island Man Admits to Setting Multiple Fires Around the Exterior of a Church; Assaulting Federal Officers 02/27/2025 07:00 AM EST PROVIDENCE, RI – A Rhode Island man admitted to a federal judge today that he intentionally set multiple fires around the exterior of a predominantly black church in North Providence, RI, and that, while detained at a federal detention center following his arrest in this matter, he assaulted two federal correctional officers by dousing them with human waste.
